The Language Teaching and Language Examination Unit's main activity is to provide specialist language teaching for students at the university.

Together with our language teacher colleagues at the Centre for Languages and Culture, we strive to equip students from all nine of the University's faculties with the language skills they will need in their future careers. As well as teaching specialist language skills, we offer foundation language courses and preparation for general and professional language exams.

Students can choose from the following languages:

English, German, French, Latin, Italian, Russian, Spanish and Chinese.

As well as meeting the foreign language needs of our students, we consider it important to develop the language skills of our teaching staff and colleagues working at the university.

Another key activity is organising and administering general and professional foreign language exams at Széchenyi István University, which is an official exam centre.
