Synopsis of the movie:
The film is one of Hungary's most successful comedies. Set during World War II, it follows Corporal Molnár and his comrades as they navigate a challenging environment where Russians occupy the pantry and Germans the dining room. Corporal Molnár, Albert, the smart butler with impeccable manners, and other deserters, along with Grisha, a rescued Russian soldier, outwit everyone and become partisans.

The film won the main prize of the public jury and the special director's award of the professional jury at the 1965 Hungarian Feature Film Festival, as well as the best male actor
award for Imre Sinkovits. In 1966, it received the Hungarian Film Critics' Award, and it was selected as one of the first "Budapest Twelve" in 1968. In 2012, it was chosen as one of the 53 Hungarian films by the Hungarian Academy of Arts and Sciences.
