Gábor Rakonczay’s Presentation at Széchenyi István University Held to a Full House

The Auditorium of Széchenyi István University's Innovation Park was completely filled to capacity for Gábor Rakonczay’s inspirational talk, drawing immense interest. As one of Hungary’s most prominent extreme athletes, a two-time Guinness World Record holder, and a six-time ocean rower, he captivated the audience with his spellbinding stories.

As the only person in the world to have crossed the Atlantic Ocean in a canoe, a world champion ultra-runner, a two-time Greenland expedition finisher, and an explorer who reached the South Pole in 44 days, Rakonczay concluded his career as an extreme athlete in 2025 with a 75-day, 5,000-kilometer ocean crossing.

During his presentation, he spoke about the power of goal setting, perseverance, courage, and pushing one’s limits, providing inspiration to the participants through his personal experiences.

The event concluded with great success, as students and attendees expressed their gratitude for the experience with a huge round of applause.
