The Centre for Languages and Culture at Széchenyi István University is offering a 20-hour intensive course on Hungarian Culture and Language.

The lessons aim to inform international students and trainees of the University, as well as foreigners staying in Győr and its surroundings, about Hungarian culture and to teach them basic phrases used in everyday communication. With the help of the course, participants will gain insight into the lives of Hungarians and therefore have a better understanding of the country. Practical support is provided to help solve language challenges in common situations such as shopping, ordering in a restaurant, travelling, etc.

The 10-session course will help participants feel more comfortable during their stay in Hungary by helping them understand local customs and use "survival Hungarian" for simple communication.

The course consists of 10 sessions (a 90-minute session for 10 weeks).

• • The first lesson will be held on 7 October 2025 (Tuesday), from 15:40 to 17:10.
  • The training fee is 52,000 HUF (a 50% discount is available for SZE students and staff).
